  Welcome to Transfiguration’s 2023-2024 Faith Formation program!
          The goal of Faith Formation is to teach children about their Catholic faith through Catechesis and bring them into a deeper relationship with God. Faith Formation is a wonderful way for your child(ren) to learn about the Catholic faith with the hope that they will be able to live it out faithfully and boldly now and all the days of their life.
          A child who is in second grade during the set school year will receive preparation for the Sacrament of the Reception of First Holy Communion. A child who is in eighth grade during the set school year will receive preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation, or if it is the second year of confirmation preparation, then Confirmation will be received in eighth grade. If your child is in ninth or tenth grade and has not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation, they are more than welcome to join in the preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation for this school year. Those who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation in eighth grade are invited to join us for Faith Formation up to tenth grade to continue their education of the Catholic faith past their Confirmation. Our next Confirmation will be in Spring 2024.
          The schedule for Faith Formation is for the students to attend Catechesis class on Sundays from 9:50-10:30 AM. The students are highly encouraged to attend Mass before or after their Faith Formation class. The Mass before class is the 9:00 AM Mass in English (Novus Ordo) the Rosary is prayed after this Mass. The Mass after the class is the 10:45 AM Mass in Latin (Extraordinary Form)the Rosary is prayed before this Mass. The Mass is the most important part of the Catholic faith as it is the source and summit of Catholicism and one’s personal faith life. With this understanding of the Mass, we have decided to make Faith Formation classes shorter to give the students and their families the ability and time to attend Mass on Sundays.
          Please register for Faith Formation using the form on the right.
  Our first class will be Sunday, September 17th from 9:50-10:30 am. Parents are required to stay for the first 15 minutes of class to meet our catechists, for an initial overview of the program, and to discuss the safety procedures.
